Under stage name, Giulia. (with a g and a period), Toronto born Julia D'Angelo makes genre-bending music infusing jazz-influenced arrangements, unusual rhythmic phrasings, and understated spoken word into her dreamy indie-folk melodies. After spending years dancing competitively and professionally, she pivoted when it came time to attend college, choosing Dramatic Arts as her major. This endeavour brought her to NYC where she is now based, pursuing acting, dance, filmmaking, and songwriting. With her songs rooted in storytelling, her multi-versed background informs a lot of how she writes and records, often finding that there is an innate rhythm and movement to the way she sings her lyrics. Her debut EP Night Before, has just been released, along with two music videos, and a third on the way.
